Hello,
I am trying to get the WVC54GC working on MAC snow leapord OSx 10.6.3 with VLC 1.0.5

I am able to get Mozilla Fire fox 3.6.3 to save .asf files from the camera using the http://username : password @ camera.address /img/video.asf so I know the camera is there and working. I can ping it. It also works from Windows using the Linksys interface.

However I am not able to get it to work with VLC.

I am trying the http:// username : password @ camera.address /img/video.asf command from the VLC GUI interface

Flie - Open Network - URL

http:// username : password @ camera.address /img/video.asf

I get Errors and Warnings - Your input can't be opened - VLC is unable to open the MRL '

http:// myusername : mypassword @ mycamera.address /img/video.asf'. Check the log for details.

(Note that I x'd out my details and the log does show the correct information)

Log File:
access_http debug: http: server='xxx.xxx.xx.xxx' port=xxxx file='/img/video.asf

I have also tried adjusting the latency settings and checked the Continous Stream setting

    * Preferences
    * Input/Codecs
    * Access Modules
    * HTTP(S)
    * Continuous Stream (tickbox)

Anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks in advance

Hi, I'm trying to make it so my wcv54gc camera can run on any browser. I hate that viewers have to install an active-x control. I'm seeing a lot of posts about hacking the code (.cab file?), but I haven't found any good instructions on how to do so. Do you have any advice?
